The Roles

We're currently looking for experienced and energetic Bar Supervisors to join the leadership teams at sAme sAme and Golden Avenue.

These are hands-on leadership roles suited to professionals who thrive in high-volume environments and love guiding a team. Working closely with the venue Bar Managers, you'll lead by example, support and develop the bar team, and help deliver the exceptional drinks programs our venues are known for. You'll take ownership of upholding service standards, beverage quality, and team performance while maintaining a fun, positive, and collaborative culture behind the bar.

While each venue has its own distinct identity, both share a commitment to high-energy hospitality, exceptional beverage programs, and fast-paced, high-caliber environments.

Whether you're drawn to sAme sAme’s iconic, electric Southeast Asian atmosphere within the James St precinct, or Golden Avenue’s vibrant, critically acclaimed Middle Eastern CBD Oasis (recently recognised in Condé Nast Traveler's Best New Restaurants in the World 2026), you’ll be playing a pivotal role in leading teams that value craftsmanship, personality, and service excellence.

Skills & Experience

These roles will suit someone who has:

• 2+ years experience leading bar shifts in a high-volume, premium restaurant bar setting
• Strong cocktail, wine, and specialty beverage knowledge
• Confidence leading, coaching, and motivating a team during busy services
• A fun, mature, and energetic leadership style
• Calm communication skills and the ability to perform under pressure
• A strong focus on guest experience, consistency, and speed of service
• Experience with stock control, ordering, and minimising wastage
• Attention to detail in presentation, cleanliness, and bar organisation
• A current RSA certificate
