The Role

We are looking for a Junior Sommelier to join the team. In this role, you will support the Head Sommelier in delivering a thoughtful and engaging wine program that enhances the overall dining experience. From guiding guests through selections to ensuring smooth service delivery, this is a hands-on position that requires curiosity, strong product knowledge, and a genuine passion for hospitality.

• Previous experience in wine service or FOH roles in premium or high-volume restaurants
• Demonstrated knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits with a willingness to continue learning
• Highly adaptable, flexible, and able to perform in high-pressure service periods
• Stock control capability, including rotation, storage standards, and assisting with monthly stocktakes and variance follow up
• Confidence in guiding guests through wine and beverage selections
• Strong attention to detail in service and cellar organisation
• Experience with cellar administration, including ordering, receipting and maintaining list and pricing accuracy in POS
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• RSA & WSET 2 or CMS equivalent certificate is required
